DHI’s Shanghai production facility features two highly automated, high-volume production lines, and is completely certified for producing steel framing for use in the U.S.

The lines turn coiled steel into any of a number of components to create steel studs and track and assembled, roof trusses, open web joists, and wall frame panels. The wall panel production system utilizes a proprietary connection that is a completely new press-joining method for light gauge steel structures. This clinching method eliminates the need for screws, rivets or bolts. A single connector replaces eight sheet metal screws. With a crew of just three operators, the DHI production line can produce an average-sized wall panel in minutes, and can produce the framing for 3 to 6 complete homes per day.

All of the steel component designs are controlled by a CAD software package, allowing custom components to be easily produced.
