Design Houses International, LLC (DHI) is a technology-based manufacturing company which designs, manufactures, and assembles light gauge steel framing studs, track, wall panels and trusses for the residential and commercial construction industry. DHI produces all of its products at its factory in Shanghai, China.

DHI began producing panelized steel walls and roof trusses by hand in China in 2005. Between 2005 and 2007 more than 49 homes were constructed in Hawaii utilizing DHI’s components. Motivated by the success of our hand-assembled products, the company began the installation of our automated production systems at our factory in Shanghai, China. Our high-technology production systems and facility in China allow us to produce a superior set of building products that are very price-competitive.

DHI’s Shanghai production facility features two highly automated, high-volume production lines, and is completely certified for producing steel framing for use in the U.S. The lines turn coiled steel into any of a number of components to create steel studs and track and assembled roof trusses, open web joists, and wall frame panels. The company’s products are sold to residential and light commercial building developers and contractors in the United States and internationally.
